1. Search for Java Control Panel - Java 7 Update version 40 (7u40) and later Java versions

With Java 7 Update 40, you can find the Java Control Panel through the Start Menu on Windows.

1. Open Start Menu.

2. Click Programs.

3. Search Java program in the list of programs.

4. Click Configure Java to launch Java Control Panel.

2. Find Java Control Panel on Java versions before 7u40 version

On Windows 8:

1. Press Windows + W key combination to open Search Charm to search for settings.

Alternatively, drag the mouse pointer to the lower right corner of the screen and then click the Search icon.

2. Enter the Java Control Panel keyword in the Search frame.

3. Click the Java icon to open the Java Control Panel.

On Windows 7 and Windows Vista:

1. Click the Start button and then click Control Panel.

2. On the Search Panel, enter the Java Control Panel into it.

3. Click the Java icon to open the Java Control Panel.

On Windows XP:

1. Click Start then click Control Panel.

2. Double-click the Java icon to open the Java Control Panel.

To launch Java Control Panel you can follow the steps below:

1. Click Start.

2. On the Search frame, enter:

If using 32-bit Windows: C: Program FilesJavajre7binjavacpl.exe

If using 64-bit Windows: C: Program Files (x86) Javajre7binjavacpl.exe
