Internet Download Manager (IDM) is a tool to help you download all files with a fast speed. IDM is used by many people, but most of you usually use its default settings.
The default settings of IDM are not optimal to achieve the fastest download speed. You can set IDM to IDM to achieve maximum download speed.

Increase download speed with the latest version of IDM
Step 1: Open the Internet Download Manager interface.
Method 1: Click Start Menu , enter Internet Download Manager keywordinto the Search programs and files search boxand select Internet Download Manager .
Method 2: Double click on the Internet Download Manager icon under the system tray of the computer (if you let IDM start with Windows).
Step 2: On the IDM interface, select Options .
Step 3: In the Internet Download Manager Configuration window, select the Connection tab .
Step 4: Here you select High Speed: Direct connection (Ethernet / Cable) / Wifi / Mobile 4G / other under Connection Type / Speed .
In the Default max section. I n. number you choose 16 (default is 8). Then click OK to save the settings.
Increase download speed with older version of IDM
For older versions of IDM, follow the steps above to open the Connection tab in the Internet Download Manager Configuration window .
In the Connection tab you set as follows:
- In Connection Type / Speed, select LAN 10Mbs.
- Default.max section . I n. number you choose 16.
Then click OK to save the settings.
