AZ word about eggs in Pokemon Go

In Pokemon Go you can find eggs in nature by interacting with PokeStops to find free items.

There are many different Pokemon eggs that can hatch into many Pokemon, but to make these eggs hatch into Pokemon, you will have to perform some tasks. Each player begins with an Egg Incubator, which allows the user to incubate an egg after performing certain steps, GPS and Pedometer tracking on the mobile device of you and the game.

To incubate an egg, check the Pokemon list, then click the Eggs item. When you click on the egg, you will be told to put the egg in the cage to start the hatching process. Note that you only have one incubator cage, but you can buy it from the Shop or you can usually get it to a certain level.

After you have put the egg in the incubator, on the screen you will get a notification of how many more kilometers you have to go to hatch the egg.

Please note that GPS works in sync with the pedometer on your mobile device, so you can't fool it by jumping into a car and driving a few kilometers. Your game must be open and you have to walk (or skateboard if you are slow enough), and that distance is calculated so your eggs hatch. The fast moving means will disable the travel distance.

Most to hatch eggs take 2-5 km.

If you want to save battery power, make sure you enable Battery Saver on Settings settings and turn your phone upside down or put it in your pocket for the screen to darken and to disable functions except to follow Watch your moves and notify Pokemon or PokeStops for you.
