Apple revealed that in the past bad guys could build 3D models just like a registered user of Face ID. This way, they can bypass Apple's sophisticated authentication system. To solve this problem, on iOS 15 Apple has improved Face ID's anti-spoofing models.

When Face ID was released, many individuals and organizations sought to bypass this system. In some cases of 3D models, 3D masks have surpassed Face ID. In addition, twins with identical faces can also unlock each other's Face ID easily.

Besides upgrading Face ID, iOS 15 also fixes issues related to Neural Engine, CoreML, Siri, Kernel, Preferences, WebKit.
