AMD launches Ryzen 9: 12-core CPU, PCIe 4.0, for $ 499

At Computex 2019, AMD has just introduced the new generation Ryzen 3000 CPU, the world's first 7nm CPU for the desktop.

At Computex 2019, AMD has just introduced the new generation Ryzen 3000 CPU, the world's first 7nm CPU for the desktop. Ryzen 3000 series uses Zen 2 architecture, with increased caching to help increase performance but reduce power consumption.

The most prominent is the Ryzen 9 3900X CPU, the most powerful CPU in the new series, with 12 cores, 24 threads and the price is only 499USD, less than half of the 12-core Intel i9-9920X ($ 1,189). Ryzen 9 3900X is up to 16% faster when rendering via Blender software and consumes only 105W less than 165W of Intel CPU.

Ryzen 9 3900X has a 3.8Ghz clock that can boost to 4.6GHz, 70MB cache and 105W TDP.

Ryzen 7 3800X has 8 cores and 16 streams, speeds of 3.9 GHz / 4.5 GHz, 36MB cache, 105W TDP, costing 399 USD.

Ryzen 7 3700X has 8 cores, TDP 65W with 15% speed improvement in single-threaded Cinebench R20 test and 18% faster while multithreading. The selling price is 329USD.

Ryzen 5 3000 series has 6 cores and 12 lines, with two models of Ryzen 5 3600 (3.6GHz clock, up to 4.2GHz, 65W TDP and also 35MB cache) and Ryzen 5 3600X (3.8GHz clock can boost to 4.4Ghz and 95TW TDP, cache 35MB).

The 3rd generation Ryzen CPU will be sold by AMD from July 7.
