1. Shift + Click square

You can select multiple consecutive emails by Selecting the first email + holding down the Shift key + selecting the last email, just like when selecting multiple files in File Explorer on your computer.

2.Shift + #

Cleaning up your inbox will be much faster when you delete each email using this shortcut. Best combination: select a bunch of mail with the Shift key and then use Shift + # to delete them all.

3. Shift + I

Mark the message as read. If you think the Mark as Read button in Google Labs is a time-saver, you're wrong. This shortcut can do the same thing in a much faster way.

4. Shift + U

Mark messages as unread. Hit this shortcut instead of wasting time with buttons.

5. Shift + R

Reply to an email in the popup window.

6. Shift + A

Reply all emails in the popup window.

7. Shift + F

Forward 1 email in the popup window.

8. Shift + T

Select an email or open an email and press Shift + T to send the email straight to Google Tasks.
