4 easy-to-use iPhone settings for older adults
It's a good idea to set up some presets to make it easier for older people to use their new phones. Here are the four basic steps you need to take
1. Choose the right font size
One of the issues most concerned by older users when getting used to a new phone is whether the font is loud enough or not. Therefore, you should enlarge the text size displayed in the iPhone interface, enough to satisfy them.
2. Select the volume of the ringtone
An alarm that is too small may not "alarm" an older user. In addition, they often keep the phone away from the person so they need a louder ringtone. In the opposite case, some people need quiet with just enough volume.
3. Emergency installation
The iPhone, like many other phones, has the Emergency SOS feature, which helps a lot for the elderly. You can enable this feature, fill in some information and guide your loved one to use the shortcut. When necessary, just press the power key 5 times for the phone to automatically send a message to the preset phone number.
4. Activate the phone finder feature
The risk of losing your iPhone is not small and the way to reduce the risk is to enable Find my iPhone in the settings. iPhone automatically sends location to iCloud account when it falls into the hands of a stranger or misplaced.
