Xiaomi officially launched HyperOS: Super light, supports many AI features, improves performance
Xiaomi has officially launched the new HyperOS user interface with many changes compared to the MIUI version on its previous smartphones.
New features on HyperOS
Key features of the new HyperOS interface
Lock screen with new fonts and widgets, with lots of customization possibilities. Xiaomi has improved Control Center to look more streamlined compared to MIUI 14.
However, the app icons in HyperOS and MIUI 14 look quite similar.
Security
HyperOS is supplemented with a number of new security features including a self-developed TEE security system that handles sensitive content separately.
Xiaomi's new operating system also provides transparent and controllable internet access permissions, with full visibility of all connections.
HyperOS is quite light
The firmware size of HyperOS can be changed to suit different hardware, the mobile phone is very small at only 8.75GB, the lightest user interface in the industry.
AI features
HyperOS is integrated with many AI features:
- Xiaoai virtual assistant to create text, scan WPS documents to recognize text.
- AI Wonderful Painting to convert doodles into paintings.
Multi-device collaboration
HyperOS delivers seamless collaboration between devices, allowing applications to use the hardware of multiple devices.
For example: For better video quality, users can use the phone's rear camera during an online meeting on a PC.
The network collaboration feature allows devices to access the phone's 5G network to enhance connectivity.
Users can share notifications between devices via the Focus Notification feature.
Efficiency
HyperOS is equipped with enhanced memory, delivering significantly faster boot speeds and improved background application performance.
When will HyperOS be available on your phone?
HyperOS will be officially released starting in December 2023 for Chinese models and for international models in the first quarter of 2024.
The first devices to install the new user interface are the Xiaomi 14 series, Redmi K60 Extreme Edition and Xiaomi Pad 6 Max.
