Xiaomi confirmed the launch of HyperOS instead of MIUI on Xiaomi 14
Recently, Xiaomi CEO, Mr. Lei Jun confirmed on X (Twitter) that the company will launch a completely new Xiaomi HyperOS operating system on Xiaomi 14 series to replace MIUI.
Specifically, Xiaomi's future software interface will be called Xiaomi HyperOS. This operating system will launch with the company's latest generation of smartphones, Xiaomi 14 Series.
In the comments section under Mr. Lei Jun's post, many users wondered if this new interface would appear on products in the international market? CEO Lei Jun responded that 'Stay tuned', meaning users should continue to monitor and wait for the latest information from Xiaomi.
Previously, Xiaomi implicitly confirmed the existence of MIUI 15 when announcing that Redmi K60 Ultra would be one of the first devices to be updated to this software version. However, with the new information given by Mr. Lei Jun, many people question the existence of MIUI on Xiaomi phones.
Currently, some smartphone brands such as vivo now use different names for the software interface they use depending on the region. In the domestic market, vivo's software interface is called OriginOS; and uses the name FuntouchOS in international markets.
As expected, Xiaomi 14 Series will launch on October 27 and officially go on sale in the domestic market from October 31 and launch in the international market is expected to launch in early 2024.
