All ways to install and set up Google Allo
Google Allo is Google's new messaging application. The application has a built-in virtual assistant Google Assistant that makes conversation easier and more convenient. Users only need to provide the phone number (or login to Google account) without registering a Google account. However, the application is only available on iOS or Android platforms and cannot be installed on the computer.
In the following article, Network Administrator will guide you from AZ how to install and set up Google Allo on Android.
1. How to install Google Allo?
To install Google Allo, follow the steps below:
1. Open Google Play Store on your Android device.
2. Search Google Allo.
3. Click the 3 dots icon in the top right corner of the screen, next to the search results.
3. Click Install.

2. Set up Google Allo
When using Allo for the first time you will have to set up Allo using your phone number.
1. Allow Allo to access your contacts, store phones, and the ability to send and view SMS messages.
2. Enter your phone number.
3. Enter the confirmation code.
4. Take a picture or choose an image from the photo library.
5. Add your name and click Next .
3. Start chatting on Allo
1. Click the Message button (the circle button has a message icon inside, located in the bottom right corner).
2. Enter your contact name in the Search box, or scroll down to select the contact to complete.
4. Chat in incognito mode on Allo
All Google Allo conversations and chats are end-to-end encrypted. However, if you don't want Google to host your conversations, then you can use incognito mode. Also you can set the expired timer for chat windows and conversations will be automatically deleted.
1. Click the Message button .
2. Select Start incognito chat.
3. Enter your contact name or scroll down the list to find the contact.
4. Select contact to start anonymous chat.
5. Select the clock icon in the top right corner to set the expiration time.
6. Select the time period you want to set. You can set in about 5 seconds to 1 week or disable this feature.
5. Group chat on Allo
1. Click the Message button .
2. Select Start group chat.
3. Add members to the chat group.
4. Name and add avatars.
5. Alternatively you can ask Google Assistant for additional support.
