Xiaomi began to develop MIUI 10, which will focus on artificial intelligence features
Chinese phone maker Xiaomi has officially announced that it has started developing the MIUI 10 operating system, the operating system based on the Android platform customized by Xiaomi. The manufacturer announced this information during the annual MIUI event in China.
Here, Mr. Hong Feng (Hong Phong), co-founder, vice president of Xiaomi, said the company will focus on bringing AI features and machine learning technology into the next major version of MIUI is MIUI 10.
With the current MIUI 9 version, the company has focused on stable, smooth operation and better battery life. The ambitious new goal that Xiaomi set itself is to hope this new operating system will help bridge the gap with other manufacturers such as Apple, Google and Huawei.
In an earlier interview, Feng also said, Xiaomi will focus on expanding its global presence in the coming months. It is estimated that MIUI has over 280 million users, of which 20% (56 million) use it outside of China.
