Panasonic introduces advanced IoT & AI management solutions for smart homes
Panasonic has announced Miraie, a solution for managing IoT connections and household-scale AI.
After a long time of research, development and testing, Panasonic announced Miraie, a home-scale IoT and AI connectivity management solution, to meet the growing demand from the smart home market in few years ago. The Japanese technology company also launched a series of smart home devices that are fully compatible with Miraie including smart doorbells, smart plugs, smart switches and smart air conditioners.
Panasonic promises to launch a range of other smart home devices in the near future, including refrigerators, washing machines, televisions, fans, geysers and more.
For the time being, Miraie will focus primarily on the Indian market. It is not clear whether Panasonic will launch compatible products globally later, perhaps the Japanese manufacturer wants to go through the potential Indian market to evaluate Miraie's true development prospects. .
The feature that creates Miraie's competitive advantage compared to other IoT & AI management solutions on the market today is an updated platform, thereby contributing to minimize potential security risks. In addition, Miraie is also equipped with intelligent diagnostic features, which help maximize the performance of the devices and their lifespan.
Commenting on the new platform and connected devices, Manish Sharma, President and CEO of Panasonic India and Southeast Asia, said:
'With the advent of 5G and the widespread adoption of 5G, IoT will strongly accelerate the next transition in the digital world, with the key factor being intelligent connectivity and compatibility. Consumers are increasingly interested in IoT & AI-enabled solutions to improve the quality of life through connected ecosystems - according to our research, more than 75% of users are looking for comfort and convenience with specific requirements related to simplicity in use and management of smart home devices, along with safety, abuse monitoring and service reminders.
Through the launch of the Miraie platform, we aim to address all of these and expand our connected lives in a true sense. Above all is our vision of a more comfortable life, a better world. '
Panasonic said it would launch a '360-degree advertising campaign' to spread awareness about its new platform. The Miraie application is currently available on Android and iOS platforms.
