Microsoft said that Internet users are missing out on the experience of safety, fast and high battery life without using Edge but using Google Chome, the most popular internet browser for today's Windows users.

Due to the shocking results given by Microsoft, Tekrevue.com decided to conduct more detailed tests. According to the results, technically, if based on JetStream 1.1 JavaScript benchmark, Microsoft's statement is correct. But the results will be slightly different when tested on the Speedometer 2.0 benchmark, the latest version released in January 2018. Currently, the Speedometer 2.0 benchmark is considered to be close to the most realistic experience and Tekrevue.com tested this new version on both high-end and mid-range computers.

High-end computer results show that Edge is 22% slower than Firefox and 35% compared to Chrome and Opera. On mid-range computers, Edge is 22% slower than Firefox and nearly 40% slower than Chrome and Opera.

According to Tekrevue, Microsoft's conclusion that Edge is faster than other browsers overall is inaccurate, the company deliberately chose a benchmark that would benefit Edge.
