Samsung Techwin's military division, Samsung Techwin, was originally a precision instrumental research room founded in 1978. Samsung Techwin began participating in the manufacture of military products since 1980.

During the development of CCTV, Samsung acquired German Rollei and started to cooperate with Pentax of Hoya Group, Japan in 2005. Samsung Techwin's CCTV camera products set foot in the US market in 2008. Currently, there are hundreds of security cameras for civilian and military purposes.

Combat aircrafts

KF-16 was produced by Samsung Techwin under the US F-16 license.

Samsung Techwin teamed up with General Electronics and by 1980 they had produced jet engines. Seven years later, they produced helicopters and in 1997 launched the first Korean fighter KF-16 (based on the US F-16 Fighting Falcon license).

Accompanied by K9, Samsung Techwin also developed the K10 ARV automatic loader system, which is considered to be the first automatic relay vehicle in the world. Each K9 battery has a K10, with the ability to carry up to 104 bullets, the speed of the bullet transfer to K9 to 12 tablets / minute, followed by automatic reloading on the battlefield.

Later, Samsung Techwin also released the T-155 Firtina self-propelled gun, considered as a modified version of K9 (weighing over 9 tons).
