LG launched G8 ThinQ, the first smartphone equipped with Hand ID vein scanning security
G8 ThinQ is equipped with a unique security feature, first appearing on smartphones with the name Hand ID, identifying the venous model in the user's palm.
LG has just announced a new generation high-end smartphone called G8 ThinQ at MWC 2019 exhibition. This smartphone does not have a fingerprint sensor sinking in the screen like Galaxy S10 or Xiaomi Mi 9 but is equipped with a computer. Unique security features, first appeared on smartphones with the name Hand ID, identify the venous model in the palm of the user.
With this unique security feature, LG G8 users just need to raise their hands in front, no need to touch the screen to unlock and control the device (access favorite apps, increase, decrease volume, pause or continue playing music, videos .). Compared to fingerprint or face scanning, the screen recognition and unlocking speed with the Hand ID on the G8 is a bit slower.
Please watch the test video to unlock and control the LG G8 by holding your hand forward, without touching the screen.
In terms of design, the G8 front and back are not much different from the previous generation, G7. 3D face detection sensor like Face ID is still integrated on the device. Vibration speaker technology hidden under the screen has replaced the speaker. LG G8 is equipped with 6.1 inch OLED screen, QHD + resolution.
The dual camera on the back of the G8 includes a standard 12 megapixel lens and a 16 megapixel ultra-wide tube, capable of recording videos to remove fonts. Selfie camera with 8 megapixel resolution.
Regarding hardware, LG G8 is equipped with Snapdragon 855 processor, 6 GB RAM, 128GB internal memory, 3,500 mAh battery.
