Jailbreak iPhone with ... Wi-Fi transmitter
Jokes but completely true!
Not long after a user successfully jailbroken his iPhone with an Android phone, recently, the jailbreak community was once again surprised when someone jailbroken his iPhone with a . router Wi -Fi.
The video posted shows an iPad being jailbroken with the Linksys EA4500 router. In it, the iPad is connected via the USB port built into the router.
So, why would a Wi-Fi router jailbreak an iPhone? It is very simple: the firmware of most of these routers is built on Linux platform. And checkra1n, the tool to jailbreak the iPhone, is also available for Linux. If users know how to access the router and perform some commands, they can completely launch checkra1n to jailbreak an iPhone.
Naturally, in fact, no one will use a Wi-Fi router to do this, when the computer is a much more efficient and easy tool. But anyway, it was a pretty interesting test and once again affirmed "nothing is impossible".
