Intel launches a new AI chip that is 1,000 times faster than CPU

Intel has introduced a new neuronorphic system (neuromorphic) code-named Pohoiki Beach, made up of 64 chips and 8 million digital neurons.

There are between 8 and 32 Loi chips that will be placed on a motherboard called "Nahuku". Each Pohoiki Beach system is created by many Nahuku motherboards and can communicate with Intel's Arria 10 FPGA kit.
