MDaemon main screen
MDaemon's main display ( Graphical User Interface - GUI ) provides important information about resources, transactions, statistics, and data flow in active status and messages. are in the process of waiting (queued) to be processed. - Ports : contain values or the number of ports that MDaemon will control and use for SMTP and POP protocols in the process of sending and receiving emails. Or you can re-assign values to different ports that MDaemon will listen to according to IMAP events, and UDP ports for querying DNS servers. In most cases, the default value of ports will not need to be changed, but depending on the different server, the user will have the appropriate changes.
- DNS : this window allows the user to assign a value to the primary and standby IP address of the DNS server. Besides, there are other options for controlling and storing MX record values.
- Timeouts : contains the time-limited values for MDaemon to wait while connecting to the host controller, waiting for the response value of addresses, DNS servers . Besides, the ' Maximum message limit value' hop count 'is used in the case of protecting messages during loop rotation.
- Sessions : Here, the user will set the maximum number of data processing streams that MDaemon will use to send and receive mail through SMTP, POP, and IMAP protocols, or you can set the number. The amount of messages that MDaemon intends to send and receive emails at the same time. Besides, you can also set the number of messages through outbound SMTP protocol to be packaged through each process.
Installation process and initial settings
First, download the latest version of MDaemon Mail Server and start the installation process.
