HP has officially announced a cheap Windows laptop named Stream 14 that the company has demonstrated at IFA recently. However, instead of selling for $ 199 as expected by Microsoft CEO Kevin Turner , HP offered the product for $ 300.

Stream 14 is equipped with AMD AR Micro-6400T quad-core processor, an APU designed to compete with Intel's dual-core Celeron product line. Its 32 Whr battery promises to last for 6 hours and 30 minutes and 1.78 mm thick.

Aiming at the low-end segment, HP Stream 14 features 2 GB DDR3L / 1600 MHz RAM and 32 GB SSD drive that can be expanded via microSD card slot. Users can take advantage of 100 GB of free storage space on Microsoft OneDrive within 2 years, and 25 GB of free storage space on Dropbox within 6 months. Besides, the device comes with a trial policy for Microsoft's Office 365 suite within 30 days.

14-inch screen of Stream 14 for 1366x768 pixel resolution, support HDMI output, 1 USB 3.0 port, 2 USB 2.0 ports and headphone jack, all packed in 1.3 mm thin size. However, the disadvantage of the product is the integration of standard Wi-Fi ( 1x1 ) and Bluetooth card.

HP Stream 14 will officially be released on the market on September 24 with green, silver and purple colors.
