How to use ExitLag to play games 'smooth'

ExitLag is advertised as a virtual private network (VPN) for online gaming. Its function is to optimize the Internet connection, make the signal more stable and reduce ping.

The rise of the online gaming movement has proven that having a stable Internet connection is essential for a great gaming experience. However, because high-speed Internet is not available in every part of the world, not all gamers can experience the best of online multiplayer games. This is where ExitLag comes into play. If you are new to this premium service, the following article will explain what ExitLag is and how it will improve your online gaming experience.

What is ExitLag?

ExitLag is advertised as a virtual private network (VPN) for online gaming. Its function is to optimize the Internet connection, make the signal more stable and reduce ping.

The software achieves this by allowing you to connect to game servers through its own routes and servers. This will result in improved routes used by your Internet service provider (ISP).

ExitLag is currently only available for Windows and its monthly subscription price is $6.50.

Why use ExitLag?

ExitLag sounds like a cool feature, but should you really use it when gaming online? Let's look at some of the outstanding features of ExitLag.

Reduce latency and packet loss

ExitLag works by mapping multiple routes to the game server to compute and deliver packets through the most efficient route. Thanks to 'Multipath Connection' technology , the service can ensure that if a route becomes too congested, it automatically switches to another less congested route.

Data sent over these superior routes has low latency and little or no packet loss. This means that you should load and update games as close to real time as possible.

Basically, gamers living in places with unreliable Internet connections will feel the impact of ExitLag much more clearly than online players living in areas with good Internet infrastructure. On the other hand, players with fast Internet connections can also experience lag if they try to connect to real game servers far away from them.

FPS Boost

ExitLag also includes a feature called 'FPS Boost'. It aims to increase the FPS in the game to make the game more vivid and look smoother. While gaming, FPS is just as important as a stable Internet connection. It is best that you have both of these factors at their optimum to enjoy or at least have a fair advantage in competitive games.

Here's how to enable the FPS Boost feature:

Step 1. Click Tools on the top menu in ExitLag.

Servers around the world

In addition, ExitLag claims they have access to a worldwide network of servers that span across different continents to optimize almost any connection between players and game servers.
