How to update Graphics Driver

The screen or displays we use are made of pixels – lots of them. Even a normal screen of 720P comes with at the very least figure around 1 million pixels and if we talk about the latest technology of 4k it comes with around 8 million pixels.

What are pixels?

Pixels are small illuminations and they help to form an image on the screen. Every device's screen is composed of pixels and they play an important role in what we see on our screens today. The quantity of pixels determine the quality of image on your screen.

What is a Graphics Card?

Where CPU is a multitasker and can perform multiple tasks at once, GPU on the other hand is only expert in terms of Graphics of your device.

Graphics card was a part of motherboard in our system – today we can update it manually in our Laptop or computer – with its GPU Units. Normally they are divided into two parts Intel and AMD. Their main job tasks are to process the graphics and solve any issues. They also give commands on what should be display on your screens. Now, they process one image at least 60 times to make it a moving content on your screens. Graphics card has a system of its own. It has a motherboard, a RAM, and a separate processor as well.

How Graphics work on your device?

You attach a graphics card to your motherboard with the help of PCI or PCI slot base. Then, it gets a signal from your PCI about what to display on the screen right now. The processing, which will happen after this step, is done by your graphics card. The display is divided into small polygons before being displayed on the screen; it will sort out all the small details to make a full image. After that, it fill with lights and different colors and at the end of this whole process, you get to see a complete image on your screens.

Graphics card in you system is an important tool when it comes to playing games and especially heavy games with strong and high quality graphics. Have you ever noticed that while playing a games you see lag very frequently?

For examply your walking on a street and you will see that the building are being formed while your maving forward, that can be put into words as your graphics are lagging because your GPU cannot cope up with speed of game. The GPU is unable to process the graphics with speed. A good graphics card can resolve this issue and get you a really good display with good response time to get you an enhanced experience.

The installation process for each driver is the same and it is simple. We are choosing the Nvidia driver installation process but it is similar with other two as well.

  1. Once you have downloaded the driver, tap on it and choose yes under the user control screen
  2. Now, click on OK to choose file location, it will start saving the files to 100 % now
  3. The installer will start to load now, and a new window on your screen will give you option to install it on your device
  4. It might give you an option to choose the installer only or the GeForce installer as well, so choose accordingly (This might differ with other installers so read before selecting the option)
  5. Now, choose the type of installation and select OK

The installation process might take a bit of time, once it's done close the window and you are done with the installation process.

Lastly:

The installation process is similar for all Graphics card in almost all computer or Laptops. You need to figure out your Graphic Card details first and follow the steps for your own Graphics card only and skip the rest. If you have trouble in the steps of downloading from the websites of each graphics card, you can simply get help from the site or read the downloading guide mentioned on the website.
