Basic way of updating drivers for AMD video cards

To update the AMD driver, open Radeon Settings , click Updates in the bottom left corner, then click Check for Updates .

You can see the options New Recommended and New Optional . Optional updates are usually still experimental versions and may not work properly, except it optimizes new games better.

The New Recommended update is a better option if you want the driver to work stably. Click on that option and follow the on-screen instructions to update the driver.

Update drivers for AMD video cards with DDU

If you see AMD driver updates that cause your driver to fail, do not work as usual, you should install it from the beginning of the updated driver. To do this, we will use a tool called DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller).

First, we need to uninstall the AMD video card driver and then download and reinstall. Download the latest version of DDU and extract it to a convenient location. Next, start Windows 10 in Safe Mode.
