How to remove the power button at the Windows login screen

How to turn on / off the power button at the login screen

The lock screen on Windows 10 with the power button icon is shown as below.

Step 1:

Users click on the Start icon at the bottom of the screen and select Windows Administrative Tools from the list.

We then navigate to the Local Security Policy manager as shown below.

Step 2:

Display the folder interface, we find and click on Local Policies and then click on Security Options below.

Look to the right of the user to find the Shutdown value: Allow system to be shut down without having to log on and then double click to proceed to correct the value.

Step 3:

Display the new dialog, click the Local Security Setting tab, and then change the value to Disable . Click Apply then OK below to save the new settings.

The result when we login to the screen will no longer see the power button icon as before. In case you want to show the power button again at the computer login screen, just turn the Shutdown: Allow system to be shut down without having to log on to Enabled.
