How to enable the Login Login hidden on Windows 10
Usually, the easiest way to activate Console login mode is to tweak the Registry. Console login mode disables the Lock Screen lock screen and login screen Sign-in on Windows 10 and opens a Command Prompt login window.
On Windows 10 there is a hidden option to enable Console login mode. Usually, the easiest way to activate Console login mode is to tweak the Registry. Console login mode disables the Lock Screen lock screen and login screen Sign-in on Windows 10 and opens a Command Prompt login window.
Console Login mode is not really a new feature of Windows 10. Some versions of Windows Server using this interface are the only solution to authenticate users. Such as Windows Hyper-V Server 2016.
Earlier versions of Windows also used the same login method for Recovery Console programs.
On Windows 10, this feature works on Windows 10 Anniversary Update version 1607, build 14393. To enable this feature, please refer to the following article of Network Administrator.
To enable the Login Console on Windows 10, follow the steps below:
1. Open Registry Editor by pressing Windows + R key combination to open the Run command window, then enter regedit there and press Enter.
2. In the Registry Editor window, navigate to the key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionAuthenticationLogonUITestHooks
3. Next create a 32-bit DWORD value and name this value ConsoleMode.
Double click on ConsoleMode and set the value in the Value data frame to 1 to enable Console Login Mode.
4. Once completed, the Logon screen will look like this:
5. If you want to restore the login screen to the old state, simply delete the value that ConsoleMode you just created is done.
