How to enable / disable Fast Boot in UEFI firmware settings on Windows
The Fast Boot feature for UEFI motherboards has a Fast and Ultra Fast option that allows your PC to boot much faster than normal.

You will not be able to boot from a USB flash drive unless you boot from a USB in Windows.
Ultra Fast
- Only supports Windows 8 / 8.1 or Windows 10 installed with UEFI and does not support Legacy BIOS.
- VBIOS graphics card must support UEFI GOP. If not, check with the manufacturer to see if they have available firmware to flash VBIOS and add support.
You will not be able to boot from a USB flash drive unless you boot from a USB in Windows.
- You will not be able to enter UEFI firmware settings upon boot unless you clear CMOS or restart UEFI firmware setting in Windows.

Note:
Fast Boot settings will vary according to your motherboard's brand, model and firmware version, so please read your motherboard manual for specific settings on this.
The instructions below are based on an ASRock x79 Extreme11 motherboard with the latest firmware.
If you also enable Fast Startup in Windows 8 / 8.1 or Windows 10, your PC will boot up even faster.
How to enable / disable Fast Boot in UEFI firmware settings on Windows
Here's how to do it:
Step 1. Boot into UEFI firmware settings.
Step 2. Click the Boot icon and select Fast Boot installation .
Step 3. Select the option Disabled (normal), Fast or Ultra Fast that you want for Fast Boot.
Step 4. Click the Exit icon and choose Save Changes and Exit to apply the changes, reboot the computer and boot into Windows.
