How to copy values in Excel
In Excel software, the company has provided a lot of Functions so that users can calculate quickly and accurately. But the use of functions and formulas makes it very difficult for users to copy values in Excel. In this article, the Software Tips will guide you how to copy values in Excel.
1. Copy the function in Excel
In Excel, if we use the usual Copy-Paste method (Ctrl + C - Ctrl + V) , you will copy the entire contents of that cell including the function.
For example , the software tips will copy cell E4 using the Product function.
When we paste it, there is no value but only a function. This is because when Excel Copy only copies each function and applies it to the next cell.
And when the function is applied to the next cell but has no content, it has no value.
2. How to copy values in Excel
To copy values in Excel you need to do the following:
Step 1: First, you just need to use the normal Copy operation (Ctrl + C) .
Step 2: Then when you paste (Ctrl + V) , you will see there is an Options icon (Options Paste) next to it.
Step 3: Here you are interested in the Paste Values section ( Paste Values ). You choose the option according to your needs.
- 123: Paste value
- % 123: Paste the value and number format
- Pen 123: Paste values and source formats
When selecting the Paste Values mode , we will paste the correct value as required.
