According to the Hollywood Reporter, the hacker will release 5 minutes of the movie, then each episode will be the next 20 minutes until their request is met. Walt Disney did not reveal the name of the film stolen by hackers, only to say they are working with federal investigators.
According to the Daily Telegraph, if the Pirates of the Caribbean, the leak will cause great losses to Disney because they had to spend $ 300 million to produce this blockbuster.
Blockbuster movie series with actor Johnny Depp
In recent weeks, Disney is not the only company threatened by hackers. A group of hackers is believed to have released 10 episodes of the new film Orange Is The New Black in April, after Netflix did not pay the ransom as required. The episodes were uploaded to the Pirate Bay 6 weeks before the film's official release on June 9.
In 2014, hackers also froze Sony Pictures activity and asked the company not to release The Interview, a comedy that murdered North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
This incident followed ransomware WannaCry 's global cyberattack that infiltrated computers and encrypted data of about 300,000 in more than 150 countries.
