Grab raises GrabFood food delivery service amid COVID-19 outbreaks
Grab will collect additional service charges and small order fees, making the price of each GrabFood menu can increase up to 5,000 VND more than before.
Grab has recently announced that it will increase the price of GrabFood food delivery service from March 26. Grab's announcement came amid the outbreak of the COVID-19 outbreak, forcing many restaurants to close and prompt a surge in demand for online food orders.
Thereby, each GrabFood order will increase by VND 2,000 due to Grab's "service charge". And yet, Grab also charges an additional "small order fee" of 3,000 VND (in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City) and 2,000 VND (in other provinces / cities) if the order is worth the goods (excluding delivery charges). goods) of less than VND 50,000.
Thus, the price of a single GrabFood can increase up to VND 5,000 if the user lives in Hanoi / Ho Chi Minh City and the goods cost less than VND 50,000.
Despite the increase in rates, Grab says the driver's income will remain unchanged, at 12,000 VND / pickaxe (including 20% application fee).
