Google killed a series of little-used features to purify Chrome

Google has decided to purify the Chrome browser by removing a series of low-user features in the upcoming version of Chrome 78, instead of adding new features.

To meet the needs of users, software and applications must constantly be updated, improved or added new features. But in reality, users may not have used half of the existing features of the software.

Therefore, Google decided to purify the Chrome browser by removing a series of little-used features in the upcoming version of Chrome 78, instead of adding new features.

If you're using the official version of Chrome 76, when you right-click on a top browser tab, a menu will appear with 10 different options including opening new tabs, reloading, copying, pin tabs, turning off Sound, turn off another tab, reopen closed tab .

Perhaps most users do not regularly use any of these options. To open a new tab, we usually press Ctrl + T or click the plus sign in the browser bar instead of doing the above.

When right-clicking the browser tab, a menu appears, the old version (left) and the new version (right).

As reported by TechDows, some options that users rarely use on Chrome 78 will be removed by Google. Currently, options like opening new tabs, closing other tabs, reopening closed tabs and bookmarking all tabs have been shortened, removed on the trial version.

This means that users who frequently use one of these removed options will have to learn how to use keyboard shortcuts more.
