Chrome OS changes to look like Windows

The new version of Google's Chrome OS cloud operating system has many interface elements similar to Windows and traditional desktop operating systems, and requires hardware acceleration.

Google has just introduced a new version (number 19.0.1048.17) of the Chrome OS cloud operating system for developers. Many experts realize this is the first time this operating system has been redesigned boldly, since it was launched in late 2010.

According to TechCrunch , Chrome OS previously differed from the minimalistic design and looks close to the Chrome browser, but in the new version, it became similar to traditional operating systems, with a full screen like the one on the computer. Desktop, manage by windows instead of just a browser with tabs.

This is the first time that the window manager is included in the user interface in Chrome OS. This new version is called Aura. The new interface features "rich visual effects and animations" and requires hardware acceleration.

Analysts noted, in the past, Chrome OS only allowed users to access a browser window (you can open several browser windows in virtual screens separately) and each time you open the application, they forced to open a new tab (card).

Currently, the Chrome OS platform can launch applications similar to task bars in Windows. However, applications continue to run in the same browser tabs rather than in separate windows.

The Chrome OS interface has become similar to the Windows desktop.

In general, experts find that Chrome OS currently has an interface and provides functionality very similar to traditional desktop operating systems that will compete.

Google first introduced Chrome OS in mid 2009. Chrome OS is oriented to become an open system, easy to operate and will be used first on netbooks. Google promises to develop the system so that users can access the Internet just seconds after booting the computer and can forget about malware and security patches.

In 2011, Google officially introduced the first two commercial notebooks on Chrome OS. They are Samsung's Chromebook Seiries 5 and Acer's ZGB. The first notebooks that ran on the Chrome OS platform did not stand out in terms of configuration, battery life and price were not good, so they did not get much attention in the market.
