China successfully launched the first 6G satellite into space
On February 3, China Mobile launched the first satellite to test 6G technology, surprising the world.
Thus, this telecommunications giant has become a 'pioneer' in exploring new fields in communications.
Although it has no official name, China Mobile's 6G satellite is the world's first low-Earth orbit test satellite to use 6G connectivity. Previously, China Mobile also launched another satellite supporting the 5G standard.
This satellite is designed to orbit Earth at a distance of about 500 km, much closer than most other satellites. This low Earth orbit allows it to send and receive data much faster and more reliably than more distant satellites.
This satellite is built with Chinese technology, can update itself from space and automatically manage operations to help it operate intelligently and with high efficiency.
China Mobile's 6G satellite is not just a test of new technology, but also helps solve real-world problems. Today, because signals from distant satellites are not strong enough, many parts of the world still struggle with poor internet. 6G satellites flying in low orbit can change that, making the Internet quickly available everywhere.
China Mobile intends to continue testing this technology to make our global communication network faster and more accessible to everyone.
