Apple released security updates for OS X users
Besides the release of iOS 7.1.1, today Apple also released a security update (Security Update 2014–002) for Mac users.

This update is compatible with OS X Mavericks, Mountain Lion, and Lion versions, and Snow Leopard users continue to be "abandoned".
Apple said it has patched a number of security flaws in its update, details posted on the support page. The company encourages all users to download the update. Users can update via Software Update in Mac App Store or download at the link below:
