Apple launched the new 10.2-inch iPad, replacing the 9.7-inch iPad line, keeping the price of $ 329

As usual, Apple still knows how to surprise people with its new products. During the event, Apple also brought a new iPad, 10.2-inch version, that will serve as the basic tablet version to replace the 9.7-inch iPad priced at $ 329, just like rumors over the past few months.

According to Apple's Vice President Greg Joz Joswiak on stage, this 7th-generation iPad will start at $ 329. Apple further emphasized that customers from the education sector can buy equipment for $ 299.

Based on rumors from many months now, people are expected to have some new iPad models launched this year. But they will probably be revealed at Apple's iPad event in October as usual. Meanwhile, the September event is often the time the company focuses on phones and Apple Watch, as well as new updates on software and accessories.

But this year seems to be an exception when the company launches a new iPad. The 7th-generation iPad will be compatible with the Smart Keyboard as well as the first-generation Apple Pencil, as well as featuring the A10 Fusion processor. The processor is a bit inferior to the A10X Fusion chip on the second-generation iPad Pro, but still very powerful compared to a basic tablet line.

Apple also said that this is the first time, the whole frame of this iPad is made from 100% recycled aluminum.

However, in its introduction, it is still unclear which type of connection this iPad will use, as it retains the large bezel design and Touch ID, suggesting it will likely use the Lightning port. But given the iPad Pro's screen size and accessory support, it's also likely that it will come with USB-C.
