2. Update phone applications
The reason your Android device runs slowly may be because you haven't updated to the latest versions. To do this, go to Settings -> About Device -> Software update to check if there are any new updates. Update to the latest versions to speed up your Android device and run smoother.
3. Delete unused data
If your phone is still slow, delete unused data and files such as old songs, old pictures, or old documents,. .Deleting unused data helps increase device memory and increase the running speed of your Android device.
4. Delete cache data of frequently used applications
During the process of using an Android device, some applications will generate cache data to increase performance. This sometimes leads to an overload of system memory, causing device processing to become slower due to lack of memory. Therefore, you should regularly delete cache data to reduce the load on the system.
Please go to Settings > Storage > Cached data.
5. Install new ROM
When installing any ROM, you will basically replace Android system files with new files with new features. Because Android is open source, anyone can modify it. CyanogenMod and AOKP are the two most popular ROMs. If you use an old Android phone and do not support updating to new operating system versions, installing a new ROM allows you to run newer software on the phone, while also speeding up the device. However, you need to note that you must 'root' Android to install the ROM and will void the warranty.
6. Limit or disable background data
Another reason why phones run slow is that they use data in the background. Limiting or disabling it not only improves the speed on your device but also helps you reduce your data bill each month. Go to Settings > Data Usage, scroll down to see which apps are using data in the background.
