Amazon entered the big game with Windows PC and Alexa

Amazon is planning to put Alexa virtual assistant on every device.

Starting with a streaming entertainment device and a removable speaker called Echo, Alexa is now heading for more devices, even computers.

At the CES conference in Las Vegas, some Windows PC manufacturers claim that the computers launched this year will support the Alexa virtual assistant, the same way you interact with Amazon Echo.

Last year, Amazon shook hands with Microsoft so that Alexa and Cortana could communicate with each other on Windows 10 PC, but Amazon's representative said the new integration feature was completely different.

HP announced that the Pavilion Wave PC will support Alexa, while Acer said the virtual assistant will be available on 'Aspire, Spin, Switch, Swift and all-in-one PC Aspire notebooks from the first quarter of 2018'. With Asus, some Zenbook and Vivobook laptops will also support Alexa.

Up Windows 10 PC is a big step for Amazon Alexa

Some of these new PCs - like Acer, for example - will have special hardware for Alexa to respond to requests faster, hear the voice required even when playing large music similar to Echo. All will use the new Alexa application on Windows 10 to be released later this year.

Although it is unclear how many customers will like these PCs, Amazon will still be happy when HP, Acer and Asus confirm support for Alexa. Google and Apple are trying to put virtual assistants on more devices, but Amazon is still the first to put Alexa into hardware.

Now you can see Alexa on many devices - even light bulbs, microwave ovens or vacuum cleaners - but it's still important to be on Windows 10 PC because it's a big market. When many PCs approach Alexa, Amazon is more likely to draw more people into its ecosystem.
