For each model, the team assessed the expected changes in air pollution at a fundamental level that could be due to future climate change. They then compared the same spatial changes as the global population, both for population growth and expected changes in the level of air pollution.

Five of the eight models predict that more people will die earlier in 2030, and seven of the nine models by 2100.
