Add QuickLaunch to the Taskbar in Windows 7
Notice that the Taskbar in Windows 7 allows you to add items, which in combination with the normal taskbar makes it look like QuickLaunch in previous versions of Windows.
As shown above is the Taskbar of Windows 7 after changing back to XP / Vista mode, and adding quicklaunch bar again.
Add QuickLaunch back to Windows 7
To add a toolbar, right-click on the taskbar, and choose Toolbars New Toolbar from the menu. You should unblock the taskbar at this time.
In the new window that appears, type the following path in the 'location' bar:
% appdata% MicrosoftInternet ExplorerQuick Launch
Make sure the full path appears in the location bar, like the image below, before you select the ' Select Folder ' button.
You will immediately see the QuickLaunch bar in the taskbar, but it is on the right, so you need to drag it to the left side.
Now it is on the left, and the next thing is to customize this QuickLaunch bar again, normal QuickLaunch bars don't display text, so right-click on the QuickLaunch bar and uncheck ' Show Text ' and ' Showtitle ' from the menu that appears.
When you're sure it works as you want, select 'Lock the taskbar' again.
