- Living is not merely a survival, enjoy life in a truly meaningful way
You are in an emotional relationship and realize that the sweet intersection between being completely dependent on others and being distracted - just caring for yourself is never always easy. However, with practice and building awareness of places that can put you into the " trap " of either relying on each small job of a lover or becoming a cold robot can also be reached. That sweet spot.
Many of us come to a relationship with the desire that their calamities will go away and good things will come. This is also when you completely put your happiness in the person you love .
Of course, there are problems that arise when people realize that even when they are in love, the feeling of dissatisfaction is still there. This can cause you to make your lover sad, whether public or silent, causing frustration and failure to accumulate, leading to unhappy and useless emotions.
The good news for you is that now you can get rid of this situation by starting to have simple perceptions: " True happiness is not in others but in ourselves ." The process of finding happiness and saving your emotional relationship can be summarized into several steps below:
1. Ask yourself
Look at yourself and check whether you are becoming emotionally dependent. Ask yourself: Are you looking for a lover as a way to make yourself happier? Are you sad when your lover acts or reacts in a normal way? How often do you complain about others? Your relationship is the center of the universe? Does your world collapse if you and your partner are not together?
If the answer to these questions is " yes " then that may be a sign that you are dependent on your happiness for that relationship too much. This does not mean you are a bad person but it implies that you need to change.
2. Start looking for happiness in yourself
Sometimes we often seek happiness in things around us, because the nature of the modern economy revolves around the cycle of increasing and satisfying material needs. The answer lies in recognizing that people are not things to satisfy individual needs. Their job is not to make us happy - because they are also trying to find their own happiness.
3. Comfortable when being yourself
Sit down and listen to your own thoughts: " If you don't love yourself, you can't love anyone else " - this has its own reasons and a simple fact.
4. Create and explore your own abilities
People often " hide " themselves in a relationship, they are afraid to give away everything and others will discover their abilities. The key to breaking this circle is to start an activity - for example, take a cooking class, exercise or compose music.
Any activity can arouse creativity in you and teach you things about yourself that make sense. Once you experience the joy of doing something perfect and learning from mistakes, you will be less dependent on others to find happiness for yourself.
5. Little complaining
Pay attention to when you switch to " nagging mode " and stop your activities immediately. Instead of just looking at the negative side, take care of positive things even though it doesn't sound like a big deal, but eventually you will change the way of thinking and the burden of complaining.
6. Don't become too reliant
You also need to pay attention to when you rely on your lover. Conscious when it repeats and trains itself to break it next time. Don't give up if you haven't changed, the key lies in perseverance.
7. Accept responsibility
Accept that you also have the responsibility and power to influence your own happiness ( don't think this is a quote from Spiderman, just a funny but accurate statement ). Keep moving forward and don't just accept it, enjoy it and consider it a gift that is always available no matter what situation you are in.
