Toshiba joins the touchscreen laptop market with two models. The Satellite Touch U505 and M505 run Windows 7 .

Two models of the Satellite U505 Touch and the M505 Touch screen are the first Toshiba laptops to use touch screens. Japanese electronics firm hopes the two new laptops will help users make the most of the technology and touch features of the Windows 7 operating system.

Satellite U505 Touch 13.3 inch and M505 Touch 14 inch screen with the same configuration with touch screen HD resolution, running Windows 7 and using Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 2.2 GHz CPU, maximum 8 GB RAM, 500 GB HDD, Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics, next to a DVD-slot (slot-loading) optical drive, and 6-cell battery. According to Laptoping, Toshiba Satellite M505 Touch will be available from October 22 to retail price of $ 950, while the Satellite U505 Touch will cost $ 1,050 to be sold on November 1.
