The YouTube Music application will be pre-installed on new Android 10 devices

In its recent announcement, Google said the YouTube Music application will be pre-installed on devices running Android 10 when it launches.

According to Neowin, this move of Google is one step closer to 'death' Google Play Music that the company released in 2011, although no specific plan. And YouTube Music will be the alternative application.

By pre-installing YouTube Music on new devices, Google hopes that people who didn't know the service will get used to it, making it more widely available.

YouTube Music has a limitation to the free account that it is not possible to continue music playback when the screen is locked. This can be a minus point of YouTube Music when competing with Spotify.

Brandon Bilinski, product manager at YouTube Music, said the new app allows Android device users to listen to music with just a few taps, listen to music wherever they are, discover new music, albums, music videos, remixes, live performances .

Google has now released this app on the Google Play Store, so devices that don't support Android 10 upgrade can download and install it. However, this application is not currently released in Vietnam market.
