A recent phone explosion caused a 60-year-old man named Kishore Singh to die in India.

The wife of the ill-fated man said Kishore Singh had forgotten his phone in his pocket when he went to sleep. Early the next morning, when she was doing some housework, she heard a loud bang. She ran into the bedroom when she discovered that her husband had suffered severe burns. Immediately, everyone took Mr. Kishore Singh to the hospital but when he arrived, the doctor announced that he was dead.

The phone Mr. Kishore Singh uses is the Jio brand in the free phone program for the poor, made by Indian operator Reliance Jio and supported by the Indian government. These phones are sold to the poor at very cheap prices, almost free.

The phone exploded and Mr. Kishore Singh bought and used it two months ago for $ 16. It is not known if it has been replaced or repaired before the explosion.
