New software of Galaxy S4 series allows scrolling the website with eyes

According to The Wall Street Journal, Samsung compared the eyeball reading technology, specifically confirming iris-based identity, with fingerprint scanning technology being applied in the latest phones today.

'The irises contain unique prints, with more than just fingerprints, and are expected to be more effective in bio-identification technology than fingerprint or retina scanning ,' according to Samsung tissue. The description of the patent application filed with the US Patent and Trademark Registration Office.

Samsung has used eyeball identification technology in the recent Galaxy smartphone software, to determine whether it is necessary to adjust the brightness of the screen, and even scroll the website up and down based on the user's eye movement.

A spokesman for the Korean brand declined to confirm information about the possibility of using iris scanning technology for the next product life.

However, a new patent application specifies that the technology can be integrated into a computer or mobile device.
