Numbering Pages for Text in Word 2007.

You only need to choose the type of page display you want. However, not every text you may need to have page numbering right from the first page. For example, for students who often make essays, or present essays often have covers, introductions. but often those pages do not have page numbers as prescribed. The first thing you need to note is to complete your article in a complete and correct format before page numbering. Next you need to determine which page you are trying to number. This will help you break the content of the text into two Sections, and set it separately for the desired Section. When you are done manipulating content breaks as shown above, you continue to Insert into Page Number as you number the normal page. But here when you select the page numbering, you will get the following display.

Do you see the difference yet. The first two pages without the page number are displayed as Footer - Section 1 and from the third page displayed as Footer - Section 2. But here the page number that you may need to number is still displayed as 3 but in fact is 1 is true. So the next step you look at the toolbar and tick Link to Previous. After ticking the Link to Previous you go to the Page Number Fomat page number to reset the number starting with 1 instead of 3 being displayed
