Mysterious codes challenge the world

Cryptography is a type of information that is encoded by humans to ensure the safety and security of communications. Cryptographic experts often use symbols, algorithms, language techniques to conceal or decrypt important information. But there are still mysterious codes that have not been fully explained after decades of existence.

Voynich manuscript

Voynich is considered the "most mysterious manuscript in the world" because it is written in a mysterious language and countless strange illustrations and charts that no one can solve except its author. But no one knows who the author of this mysterious manuscript is, even its name was given to the person who bought it in 1912, the old bookstore Wilfrid M. Voynich.

It is only known that this 240-page manuscript was born around 1404–1438. There are many different theories about the content written in the manuscript, some say that this is a pharmacopoeia, others think that it is a book for alchemists, even books from aliens.

Zodiac letters

Zodiac letters include 4 encrypted messages. It is said that Zodiac, the mass murderer in the 1960s and 1970s, had been terrifying the people of the San Francisco Bay Area, the author.

Currently, experts only decipher one of the 4 messages and the identity of the Zodiac killer is still a mystery.

Kryptos password

Just outside the CIA headquarters in Virginia, the US is a sculpture designed by sculptor Jim Sanborn. This sculpture is the Kryptos code, so hard that the CIA cannot solve it.

The sculpture consists of 4 parts and 3 of the 4 messages have been decoded. Only the last passcode is 97 characters, but it is still a mystery.

Beale password

The Beale code consists of three encodings, one of which only leads to the burial site of one of America's greatest treasures with countless gold, silver and gems worth about $ 43 million. The other two codes, one is a list of relatives of treasure owners, a description of treasure value.

In 1818, Thomas Jefferson Beale discovered this treasure in Colorado, USA, then transferred it to a new secret location in Bedford, Virginia and created three codes.

Only the second code sheet has been solved, detailed description of the treasure. Every attempt to decode the remaining two codes to find treasure failed.

Tamam Shud case

In 1948, on Somerton beach in Adelaide, Australia, a man's body was discovered. In the pocket of the victim's pants, there was a small piece of paper labeled "Tamam Shud", meaning "ending" or "completed", appearing on the last page of the book "The Rubaiyat" by Omar Khayyam.

Later, the scrawl was found in a poem collection of Khayyam, it was said to be the victim's pen. However, so far no one really understands the meaning of these words, the identity of the victim is still a mystery. Tamam Shud becomes Australia's mysterious case.

Shugborough inscriptions

Shugborough inscriptions are strange lines of DOUOSVAVVM letters engraved on the 18th century Shepherd monument in Staffordshire, England. During the past 250 years this mysterious word has yet to be solved.

Some theories suggest that this mysterious word is a clue to the location of the Holy Grail left by the Temple Knights. Charles Dickens, Charles Darwin and many talented people around the world tried to decipher this line but failed.

Monument to Georgia Stone Guidestones

Georgia Stone Monument Guidestones is a granite monument erected in Elbert, Georgia in 1979. These stones are also called "American Stonehenge", carved 10 "new teaching commandments" in 8 languages ​​including Hindi, Jewish, Arab, English, Spanish, Swahili, Chinese and Russian.

Although no encoded messages are contained, no one knows the purpose and origin of the monument built.

Ancient disc of Phaistos

In 1908, archaeologist Luigi Pernier found Phaistos made of clay in the Phaistos palace on Crete, Greece. On the plate there are many strange symbols like a hieroglyphic form that nobody knows. According to the researchers, the Phaistos disk dates back to about 2,000 BC.

So far, the mystery of Phaistos is still a challenge for archaeologists.

Rongorongo

On many Easter Island artefacts it was discovered that there was a special carved character sequence, called Rongorongo. Many people believe that these characters may be one of the few independent writing inventions in human history and it represents a lost writing system. Some suggested that they could be a clue to the strange collapse of civilization on Easter Island.

But all is still a hypothesis, so far it has not been possible to decipher these mysterious characters.
