Those who were chosen to try the program (also known as the tester) had to sign an agreement not to disclose anything about this new version. However, according to a blog post by PJ Hough - Deputy Director of Microsoft Office - the new version of the office application suite called Office 15.

Mr. Hough called Office 15 the " most ambitious " Office version and said: " Microsoft will simultaneously update cloud services, servers, Office, Office 365 applications, Exchange, SharePoint, Lync, Project, and Visio for mobile devices and computers ".

Many sources pointed out that Microsoft plans to release Office 15 by the end of 2012 and will likely have another name, Office 2012 or Office 2013. Earlier, the beta version of this new office suite will also released to the public this summer.

If the information on the launch time above is correct, the new Office suite will be released soon after Windows 8 operating system is expected to appear in the second half of this year. And the corollary is, Microsoft almost certainly will build Office 15 into an application running on the new Metro 8 user interface of Windows 8.

This is in line with Microsoft's previous CEO Steve Ballmer - when he told financial analysts: " We are reviewing and will work hard to create something. specialized for Metro style office ".

Software in general and Office office applications are one of the most profitable parts of Microsoft. Therefore, the company will have to take advantage of this opportunity to bring its products with Windows 8 operating system to all the traditional desktop users and popular mobile devices today.
