Recently, Xiaomi (China) has just updated the list of smartphones that will receive Android Oreo and Android Pie updates (either an official version or a trial version) in this fourth quarter.
Here is a list of Xiaomi devices that are "up to date" Android OS 8 Oreo and Android 9 Pie posted in Chinese on the forum supporting MIUI Forum.
Specifically, there are 3 devices updated to Android 9 Pie including:
- Mi MIX 2s
- Mi 8 SE
- Mi 8 Fingerprint (Mi 8 version has fingerprint sensor in the screen).
4 devices updated Android 8 Oreo include:
- Redmi 5
- Redmi 5a
- Redmi 5 Plus
- Mi 5x
Particularly, Oreo OS version for Mi 5s Plus has been temporarily released due to some software-related errors.
In addition, Xiaomi also announced that devices that have received two major Android OS updates will not be available on Android Pie. For example, Mi 5 or Mi5s have received two major Android updates, Nougat and Oreo, so they won't be upgraded to Android Pie.
