Microsoft has released Windows 8 and their Modern UI interface for a year and a half, but Office Office suite - Windows' most important series of applications - has not yet been optimized for touch screen.
This may soon change, as Microsoft Research recently published a number of documents in which they revealed some screenshots of the optimal version of Office for touch. These photos are photos of basic Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel.
It seems that this exposed product is part of a project codenamed "Gemini" to bring Office to the Modern interface; And it seems that this is the original version of Microsoft.
