Specifically, Microsoft will allow students to register for Office 365 software for free. The program will launch first in the US and then other countries around the world.

Previously, schools had to make lots of constraints to get free use of Microsoft's Office 365 office suite. But now, the students of the schools participating in the Volume Licensing system can own the Offie 365 copyright for free by registering to use the service with the email address of the school.

Students will receive copyrighted Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Access and Publisher tools on 5 Windows or Mac computers. Users can also access Offline applications on Windows or iPad tablet. Microsoft also offers an additional 1 TB of free storage space on the OneDrive service.

In addition, university lecturers from schools that have registered an extended Office service pack are also entitled to the desktop version of Office 365 ProPlus . However, this version of Office 365 ProPlus will be limited to some features like email, web conference and file storage. Teachers in the US can register for Office 365 ProPlus in October and in other countries in December.
