iOS 17.1 enables the ability to 'favorite' songs and albums in Apple Music. You can access this option by tapping the three-dot menu on the song or album and looking for the new 'Favorite' icon. Finally, Apple says Apple Music will automatically create playlists with all your 'favorite' songs and albums, but that doesn't appear to be included in the first iOS 17.1 beta.

Also in Apple Music, Apple has added an artwork library that you can use to customize your playlists. To do this, tap the three-dot menu in the upper right corner of the playlist and select Edit . Apple Music will use your playlist name and overlay it on a set of album art that you can use.

As part of the iOS 17 showcase at WWDC, Apple said AirDrop will be able to continue streaming over the Internet if the two devices are far apart. This feature was not available in the initial release of iOS 17, but iOS 17.1 added support. There's also a new toggle in Settings that lets you choose to use cellular data to complete these AirDrop transfers, in addition to WiFi.
