iOS 13 is installed on 81% iPhone and 73% iPad

Apple has just released statistics comparing the success of the latest version of iOS to show the advantages of this platform compared to Google's Android.

According to GizChina , while Android 10 currently only installs on 8.2% of smartphones, Apple's statistics show that 92% of iPhones released since 2016 are running iOS 13, while iOS 12 only installs. on 7% of smartphones, the previous version accounted for 2%. Of all active iPhones, the corresponding numbers will be iOS 13 (81%), iOS 12 (13%) and older versions of 6%.
Last year, the company introduced a special version of iOS specifically for iPads. It's called iPadOS and is currently installed on 93% of all Apple tablets introduced over the past 4 years. iOS 12 only works on 5% of tablets, while older versions use only 1%. Among all active iPads, the index for iPadOS is 73%, iOS 12 is 16% and earlier versions are only 11%.
The data collected by Apple on June 17 relates to all devices that accessed the App Store that day.

At WWDC taking place from June 22 through streaming, Apple is expected to bring a major change to the name of iOS, where leaked expert Jon Prosser revealed that he will abandon the iOS name to Back to iPhoneOS.
